Huawei MediaPad 10 Link Tablet Review

Huawei has launched Huawei MediaPad 10 Link, a 10.1-inch tablet for Rs. 24,990. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor alongside 1GB RAM. With a IPS display and a resolution of 800x1280 pixels, the tablet also comes with Dolby Surround Sound with dual speakers.

The Internals: Beyond the two differences mentioned above the Huawei MediaPad 10 link boosts a 10.1 inch IPS LCD screen that is absolutely fabulous and you can learn more about it in the screen section below, more to add is the Huawei MediaPad 10 link has a beating heart of a fabulous Cortex A9 Quad
Core CPU running at 1.2 Ghz, with 1GB of RAM, and a 16 Core GPU that have more cores than even my most advanced laptop with a dedicated Nvidia GPUs. Going through the organs we find a 16GB internal memory expandable by externa micro SD card up to 32GB, HSDPA support through a sim card slot, WiFi a/b/g/n, Dolby Sound Plus which is amazing while playing games or watching a movie, Bluetooth v3.0, A-GPS and normal GPS, Accelerometer sensor, and an Ambient Light sensor.

Display

The Huawei MediaPad Link 10 comes with a 10.1 inch IPS display, which comes with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The 10.1 inch display is among the bigger ones we see on tablets, however the display should prove to be effective for multimedia and tasks such as YouTube videos. The 16:9 aspect ratio will not find its fancy in e- book readers, so buyers beware. Apart from that the display should be better than what you see on tablets manufactured by Indian and other small Chinese manufacturers.

The camera:

Well as an impartial reviewer, I have to say the truth I wasn’t even remotely impressed with the rear
camera, a 3Mpx camera is hardly something to get excited about, but then to come think about it I never was a supporter of high resolution rear cameras on tablets to begin with as I find that tablets make lousy camera’s due to their size, but to compare to it’s more gym prone muscle puffed MediaPad 10 FHD 8Mpx camera, I find the the 8Mpx more appealing. A rear camera on a 10 inch tablet has a main purpose which to simulate scanning documents and the MediaPad 10 Link’s Camera does efficiently for me to satisfy my customers in some scanned documents edited on the MediaPad and sent via email, I would say that the MediaPad 10 Link gets a solid 7 out of 10 in the camera department. The front camera does as
expected when is comes to video conferencing, and nothing better could be expected out of it.

The Battery:

God how much I love Huawei Devices for their batteries, I have used the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link for 4 days on a full charge includingplaying games and constant connection to the internet, and still till now late in the forth day I was not given the low level battery notification yet, and still have 29% to go with, a 6600mAhbattery is more than enough for such a device.

Priced at Rs 24,990, the expense might be a bit too much with respect to what the tablet has to offer.Huawei MediaPad 10 Link is available through online retailers like Flipkart, Infibeam, Snapdeal, Shopclues.com and other retail stores like Croma and Ezone.

Huawei Media Pad 10 Link key specifications

•Dual-speakers with Dolby Surround Sound
•1.2GHz Hi-Silicon K3V2 Cortex-A9 quad-core processor
•Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n

•1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, up to 32GB expandable via microSD card slot

The Conclusion:

Well The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link is without any doubt a wonderful device for mid range tablet, only a couple of things hinder it, first that it is still running ice cream sandwish, second the keyboard, although Huawei’s keyboard is wonderfully large to fit the device’s screen yet I was hindered by the lack of a fifth row dedicated for numbers although the screen fits it as well as the predictive text dictionary other than that I Loved the device and at a price tag around 500$ (approximately 360 JOD) I think it is one hell of specs to
price bargin to have this tablet over other tablets, verdict if your on a budget and want to buy a descent
tablet with a large screen the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link is the one to buy.
